Market Finds: Naviglio Grande Flea Market in Milan

On the last Sunday of every month, Naviglio Grande, the oldest canal in Milan, transforms into a vast outdoor flea market. Spanning almost 2km along the waterside, 400 stalls draw bargain hunters and vintage enthusiasts from all over the world. The market offers a diverse array of items, including antique furniture, books, paintings, jewelry, designer clothes, vintage vinyl, etc. It’s our favorite place to thrift shop when abroad. On sunny days, the market attracts an interesting mix of people, young and old, making it a perfect spot for people-watching. Visitors can also enjoy a break with an ice-cream from one of the trendy cafés lining the canal.
